Hi all,

I have been watching some threads on SQL connections and remote views. I never really had to use them, but of course now is the time. Anyway, here is the issue:

This is all done using just the project manager for testing. I have a simple connection setup. Then I set up a remote view. I can get the data into the view correctly. So, I click on the view, and the browse button, and I see it all just fine.

In the command window I type 'myprop=cursorsetprop('buffering',5)' (enter implied). myprop returns .T.
I browse again. I hit the ol' CTRL+Y and get a new blank record. I type in some stuff/values. This is a very simple SQL Table, with no stored procedures, etc.

When I leave the table, I browse again, my new record is there. I type 'myUpdate =TABLEUPDATE(.T.)'. Enter. myUpdate returns .T..

I flip over to SQLServer and that new record is not there. Can someone please tell me the error of my ways?

TIA

Ric

BTW: I know VFP8 has some new stuff to handle this, but the app is written in VFP7 so I want to keep continuity, for now...
