I really don't understand the logic behind this particular licensing restriction. I've upgraded other software tools, but have been allowed to run the old and new versions concurrently. I thought that the purpose of offering a reduced upgrade price, was to provide a cost efficient way for current customers to enjoy the latest features of a product, without having to purchase the entire product again. I can understand considering FoxPro 2.6 and later VFP versions as different products, but VFP 6, 7, and 8 are primarily upgrades on the current product. This restriction makes it difficult and expensive for the developer who is supporting 6.0 and 8.0 VFP apps at the same time.

>>One other question: Does VFP 8.0 have an upgrade path from VFP 6.0 or only from 7.0?

>Yes, 6 and 7, especially when buying one of the MSDN packages.

Can I upgrade from 6.0 to 8.0, even if I don't buy a MSDN package?

Thanks,
Dave
