If you put a breakpoint in the code that runs after the form closes, what is the state of the menu? If it is locked, I would still suspect the form is not completely cleared from memory and has a hold on the menu. When you say the menu is locked...is it disabled or does it drop a popup and then lock?

After adding a button in the form which calls the thisform.hide() method, I ran the test and promptly locked up the menu. Aparently, when the form closes, all the code after the DO FORM runs fine. It locks up only after the procedure exits and returns to the menu.
