My apologies; I confused "free" with "open-source".

Most of the tools I mentioned are free, but not open-source.

Very interesting was the data-cube part, where the user could analyze data according to several criterias. The main disadvantage is that it requires at least 64 MB RAM. Even so, it may be a little slow. Also, it may require some training. Check whether it is still free.
