Figured out what is causing it now, it is the Windows XP Font Smoothing. I had it set to "Standard" for my previous shots but now for my next trick I set it to "Cleartype": http://www.aws.com.au/foxfiles/cleartype.bmp , Turning font smoothing off fixes the problem altogether.

No promises on the UG meeting this week though, see how we go with this issue first - but as you can see from the shot I have just started upgrading it to VFP 8 so I am sure we might have plenty of questions soon.
