... but to be honest I wouldn't want to think of it this way, even though the "given context" part would indeed apply to parameters. There might too many other "temp" variables that I wouldn't want to confuse with parameters, so I wouldn't give them the same prefix!

When I want to rationalize the t prefix internally, I think of it as meaning "transfer".
