Do you have FoxPro DOS 2.x available?

Rather than use ? and ?? you may want to try the DOS RW.

VFP has the character-based reporting engine built-in, special preview and all <s>. Just don't try opening these FRXs in VFP's Report Designer so that they never get WINDOWS platform records, and the character-based reporting engine will take over at runtime.
