It was definitely me who told you that <g>.

And yes I still do think of it as "token" but when I say that people don't get the connection with parameters . It makes sense to *me*, but I'm thinking of token as in "passing the baton", and token has other resonance for some programmers, I guess.

So now I say "transfer" because it gets the same point across.

IAC, I am no longer sure that this is what Charles S had in mind when he chose it! Remember he really *is* Hungarian and there's no way to know whether the "stands for" for some of these prefixes comes from an English word-association at all!
