How to detect corrupt FoxUser.dbf?
Is there a way in an applications startup procedure to "gracefully" detect if the FoxUser.dbf/fpt is corrupt?
Am working with vfp 7.1 & Win XP Home.
Would like to add logic at startup time so that if the FoxUser.dbf/fpt is corrupt would delete the table & let the system create a new Foxuser.dbf/fpt.
One additional wrinkle is that I change the name of each FoxUser.dbf/fpt to a unique name for that app to avoid conflicts with other fp apps that may be on the same pc. Therefore, after letting the system re-create the FoxUser.dbf/fpt I would need the code to rename that table to the name I'm using for that app.
All help appreciated.
