Nick;

The NHL has many mottos such as but not limited to, “Give blood until it hurts”! Also, a real NHL player has no teeth of his own. :)

>>>War is always good for employment. The USA is too big to have a decent sized enemy, why don't you split into several parts and fight with each other.
>>>
>>>Liberal states to the SW and NW and NE and right wing states to the SE and centre. The natural dividing lines are already there. You could even include the Mexicans and Canada.

>>>>>Well I was with you up until "France". < bg > My father-in-law plants a garden every spring, and it still amazes me how much food you can harvest from a small backyard garden. I hear chickens aren't that hard to raise either. Who needs ADM!?!?

>>>>>>I listened to my grandfather tell me what the labor market was like from 1900 until he retired in 1954. People interest me and I have done a great deal of study on a number of topics such as workers and society during different eras.

>>>>>>The concept of America being the land of opportunity is true for some and perhaps the best place on earth for such a thing to occur. However, no system can last forever. Our system has always looked for cheap labor – slave or otherwise. Otherwise is a big topic!
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Our leaders, educators and others have the concept that as the market changes and jobs are displaced new jobs will be created and the system continues. We hear many terms like division of labor, direct labor, indirect labor, etc. This may well reach a ceiling and jobs as we know them will be few if any.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>Get an education and your problems are over! You have too much experience. You do not have enough experience. You are too young. You are too old. We hear lots of things as we each experience the job market.
>>>>>>
>>>>>>I had a cousin who worked for 47 years at the Bank of America, and retired at age 65 in 1961. We gave him a roast and said, “Too bad you could not hold a steady job”! Today is very different. There is no security or secure job field. You have to be on your toes and versatile. I suggest training as a Neanderthal. That will allow you to survive and is what it will take in the future to exist.

>>>>>>California is known as “The Golden State”. How many of you know that California produces almost 50% of the produce grown in this nation? Since 1928 the annual value of our crops has been greater than the value of all the Gold found in California. Perhaps we should just go back to being an agricultural economy. Remove the high tech monuments and the hordes of people that have migrated here. Plant crops, which high tech displaced, and enjoy a different way of life – different from what we grew up with and reverting back to another time. Also remove the greed that high tech has produced.

>>>>>>If too many people become unemployed we could become like Sparta – a military state. The military would become the largest employer and we could set about to conquer the world. No more of this little war business. Let us get it on and conquer the whole place!
>>>>>>
>>>>>>The alternative of becoming a military state would simply be to have a revolution. Perhaps we could get France to help us once again through such an event. :)
