Yes .. it's true that a line starting in the Group Header and ending in the Group Footer will go thru ALL detail lines. However .. you can always fake it out!!

Keep the current line in the report so it goes thru all detail bands. Then add a 2nd line that only goes thru the detail band, change the color to white, and set the Print When logic to make it print when you don't want the black line. This line will print OVER the black line, thus making it appear as if the black line doesn't exist.

Apparently if you have a line which crosses through a group header and/or a group footer, it will print in both detail bands. I have verified my print when's, and the remove line when blank is disabled. Any thoughts as to how to prevent lines that I want printed in one band to not be printed in another?
