Windows API functions

[Doug]
It works for me -- GetTextExtentPoint32 returns different values (which, BTW, match TXTWIDTH * FONTMETRIC(6)) when I change the font and/or size of the form.
--------
I saw some difference, but not reliably...
If you've got it working reliably, it wouldn't necessarily always match TXTWIDTH, because it's still based on a better/different use of Win API than TXTWIDTH is, apparently,
And that's a Good Thing.
But I don't think it is going to solve your problem... it's still GDI.
BTW I have done some Q&D related testing, with these results:
* -- yup confirmed the Designer is definitely always at the same DPI
* -- Preview -- this is what I wasn't sure of before -- actually pays attention to the DPI of your screen. Which of course doesn't help it to match your printer.
