You're right about the ambiguity, Fabio, but it was stupidity (or a variation of it < s >) because I KNEW full well of this situation but had a more than momentary lapse on the matter.
And, for the record, I am one who is grateful that you expose so many ambiguities/deficiencies/inconsistencies in VFP. In my opinion anything benefits when questions are brought to light and are discussed openly, and VFP itself is no different. VFP is improved, and people's knowledge of VFP is enhanced, by raising such issues.
