I guess that it's really a matter of personal taste, John, and *my* taste is decidedly AGAINST prefixing table field names most particularly.

You'll notice that VFP itself does NOT use prefixes in the naming of any of its PEMs, functions, etc. There is good reason for that, and what's good enough for MS is good enough for me.
