IBM's downfall came when the people buying the hardware were no longer impressed by the IBM logo on the PC. It suddenly became an acceptable business practice to buy a clone. I can easily see the same thing happen to Microsoft. I've started to see a lot of people and organizations move to Linux, even at home. Last night a neighbor gave us her old PC. (We now have more computers than people.) It's a 486/25 or 33, with a small drive. My 20-year-old daughter asked if she could have it to learn Linux. Gary J.
