Hi! Customer rang me today with database problems.

They have a database of tables called K:\acme\datafiles

When their form loads with the tables stored in the form, they are suddenly getting errors? No mods have been done for weeks? No modifications to structure or anything. Just records appended to files using the software, like very other day? A corruption?

So I got the customer to send all the database, dbfs, cdxs etc. to my email.

In the database a lot of the tables are missing, why does'nt it allow me to re-add them in? It says there already part of the database? but I can't see then in there?

I've tried validating the database, but doesn't seem to fix anything?

If I create a new database & re-add all the tables i'll lose my extended field names, also if I send this database back to them will it work as long as the field names and paths re the same?

Is it me or are database containers a pain?
