Hi,
I am upgrading our application to VFP 8 and I have come across a strange thing with the images on buttons, it happens on all images in the system. Here goes:
1. Our toolbar has a few buttons with .GIF files for the images, in VFP 7 the white backgrounds or these buttons appears transparent.
2. On a completely blank Windows XP system when we install our application compiled in VFP 8 the .GIF files also appear with a transparent background.
3. BUT on our DEV machines and the sales dept. machines (that have Office XP and Act! etc. on them) the buttons all appear with a solid white background event though they were fine in VFP7. This solid white background makes them look particularly ugly while disabled.
Now it doesn't take much to swithc all the pics to use .BMP (which transparent work fine on and I am almost finished doing anyway) but I was wondering if anybody else has had this behaviour happen to them aswell? (Namely that the transparency works fine on some machines and not others)
Chris.
Have a nice day :)
