Tracy;

A bit about Argentina:

Argentina has a long history of economic disaster, inflation, political leaders who irritate economic issues, to name just a few things I have observed. By the way I have many friends from Argentina, whom I have known for over 40 years.

One thing we as individuals cannot resolve is what our nations do. We may hope for one thing in common with our relatives, friends and neighbors but our leaders always seem to have a mind of his/her own. Think Evita and I do not mean Madonna! :)

Inflation can be resolved. Look at the history of Peru during the last 40 years. My wife is from Peru by the way. Keep the military out of political office. "Do not go to war" can help. (Did everyone pay attention - Westley Clark is an example for our nation. Boots and saddles will be sounded before the attack.) If we keep on our present path Argentina will be in better shape then we are!

George W. was a member of the air national guard - we never took them seriously! Clark is regular army - west point! Clark will be much more serious about how to resolve issues. Sparta here we come. Move over Argentina!

>Japan is the highest donor which doesn't surprise me given their economy and their lack of military:

>>Hi there.
>>
>>There are things that can really amaze me. Yesterday I was reading some news on the web about the United Nations (http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/politics/politics-un-council-reform.html), and there I read:
>>
>>======
>>In Latin America, Brazil by sheer size is a logical candidate but Argentina and Mexico are not so sure. Brazil is a Portuguese-speaking country in a Hispanic continent.
>>=======
>>
>>What's the point? Have those guys ever taken a look to the map of the continent? Can't they see that that "Portuguese-speaking" country represents HALF of the continent? Neither they can see the size of population down there??? Tsc, Tsc....
