I read your suggestion about automating the login to the proper message received from email. This is a good suggestion. However, there would be some considerations to take care of.

What if you are already logged? Would you wish to overwrite your entire session? ...customizable or not from the account setup

This also relates to your point #3. What would then be the messages to be shown on top?
