So, when are you opening a chapter in Albany, NY?

No need to answer, just couldn't help expressing my envy :(. I wish you much success!!!
Congratulations on your 10th year anniversay!
>MFUG is already 10 years old. During its 10 years of existence we have had more then a 100 presentations from many different speakers talking about FoxPro DOS to Visual FoxPro 8.0. For its 10th year anniversary, we would like to do a special event with one well known speaker in the FoxPro community. This is why we have asked Drew Speedie from Vision Data Solution to present a full day of training to our members.

>This full day is for all of our members and will include lunch and dinner for all. These are the details of the full day of training.

>10:15 VFP 8.0 Enhancements To The Grid Control
>VFP 8.0 adds many new features to the grid control, making it even more powerful. Some of the enhancements are items we developers have been asking for since we first started using grids in VFP 3.0. Many new features add native support for functionality that eliminates the need for hand-coded solutions that you can now remove from your grid classes and instances. Come and see features like row highlighting, custom Column and Header class implementations, automatic column sizing, column locking, and much more. This session also includes tips on workarounds for anomalies reported in the initial release of VFP 8.0.

>13:00 Developing VFP Applications Using Visual MaxFrame Professional
>This presentation demonstrates many of the features of the Visual MaxFrame Professional framework for VFP application development. The VMP n-Tier services features will be discussed and demonstrated, including the creation of a Business Object used in both a desktop application and a web application using Voodoo Web Controls (a product of EPS-Software). All attendees receive a free 30-day trial subscription to Visual MaxFrame Professional, entitling them to download the current VMP source code for that period.

>18:30 Practical Uses For BINDEVENT() In VFP 8.0
>VFP 8.0 adds a new BINDEVENT() function that allows binding any VFP object to a custom "event handler". This is a completely new feature in VFP 8.0 that has not been available at all in any previous version of VFP. BINDEVENT() is a simple but very powerful feature that has many uses in a VFP application, including the ability to bind to VFP's _Screen methods and properties. BINDEVENT() can also be used to implement what amounts to "subclassing at runtime", eliminating the need for many subclasses, especially "leaf" member objects. This session consists of a brief explanation of BINDEVENT() and related functions, but is mostly demonstrations ways you can put BINDEVENT() to use in your VFP applications.
