Hi all,

I notice that there is this check box on the Query | Advanced Options while
in VFP's View Designer.
I wonder...
1. Will enabling this option will really make a significant performance in
retrieving query from the server? I tested it but I didn't notice any
differences. Well, obviously, because I tested it only on three computers
with one of them act as a server. All connected with ethernet, two of the
computers are in the same room, and the other one is right in the next room.
2. When is the real re-compile takes place? Is it on the first time the view
is being send by any workstation? Should SQL Server recompile the query if
workstation B send it although it was already sent by workstation A?
3. Will SQL Server save the compiled queries permanently (even though after
the administrator shut down the server)? Or will it have to re-compile on
every first send?

TIA,
Willianto
