and I get this response:
"A strong SA password is required for security reason.
Please use SAPWD switch to supply the same. Refer to the readme for more details. Setup will now exit."

I've crawled the readme and, as usual, it says everything except what you need to know:

I've tried all obvious variations in the ini file, the inf file , and as direct switches with and without SECURITYMODE=SQL, and various manifestations of USEDEFAULTSAPWD or SAPASSWORD

brick wall.
