I usually don't use VFP's "keyboard" when I try to automate other app's.
The VB "sendkeys" (which is also implemented in the scripting host) gets me better results - the is a file in the download section for VB sendkeys AFAIR, on west wind is a very old thing by rick strahl (works for 16 bit as well) or if you have the WSH you just try it...

That should help getting rid of the MsgBox.
