I am using the Mere Mortals .NET jump starts as a roadmap to developing a windows forms application with business objects.

Following the jumpstarts, I have been able to get everything to work EXCEPT data access. I WANT to use a VFP 8.0 database as the back-end for the application, but I can't get the data access to work for it. (Tried with the latest version of Access as well, same result).

Since I am not using SQL-Server as the database, is there something else I need to do?

I've even created a custom DataAccess class and that didn't work either.

I am able to connect to the database(s) through Server Explorer AND browse the table data with no problem. I even copied the connectionstring from the ServerExplorer to the App.Config (add key...value=) value. I get an error that specifies that the Error handler parameter (e) is not an object from catch (Exception e) in main.cs?

Please advise!
