simply put yes you can. the server setup is best left to professionals as the setup for a critical system must be bullet proof. on the programming side we have done a similar system in vfp6 on a 2k advanced server and have absolutely no problems, never even an indexing issue. as regards other issues make sure its flexible as we found than when the company saw it they loved it and wanted more functionality, we had allowed for it but if we hadn't it would have meant amost a complete redesign.
