Hi Luis

That is hard to say because they do things differently. For example everything in Visual dBase is an Object (ie. Fields, tables, menus, reports etc.) so you have to think a little differently.

I much prefer their 2way IDE over VFP. They use the Borland Database Engine which means you can use different back-ends for data storage without changing your app. However, the BDE is not as fast as VFP and requires its own setup. They are working on their own data engine.

Visual dBase allows you to create web application without other tools and they run fast.

When I was using VFP 5/6 I thought that Visual dBase was better. Now I am using VFP 8 with the Virtual Print Engine for reports and I am quite happy.
