Yeah, they're not far from contending. My 17-year-old's take is that while Millwood is really good #2 or #3 starter, he's not a #1, and so the Phils don't have a #1. I think it's possible that Randy Wolf or Brett Myers could be a #1 down the road. Nonetheless, 4 starters with 14 or more wins each is pretty impressive.

If Burrell, Abreu and Rollins hit as well as they're capable of, and Bell comes back from his back trouble, this team could be really incredible next year (in our brand new stadium).

The weakest link is probably a closer. I'll guess (pray <g>) that Mesa won't be back.
