A few people have asked for this gadget and we now have it. When clicking on the funny face icon to get the ongoing status of the Universal Thread, we can now send a notification to someone who's online.

The user receiving a notification will receive a flashing light at the top of the left frame which will allow him to click on it to get the list of notifications. The user can clear or reply to it.

Also, when a conference is running, the conference running icon will flash as well.
