I totally agree with this (I do the same), but don't use ASSIGN (Width, Height) methods. There is a bug with those related to some intrinsic properties (width, height, I don't know the entire list) that can really slow down your code.

This also facilitates runtime resizing as well if you allow the user to resize the form, you simply have to pass the resize event onto your control.
