Jaime, what version of VFP are you using?

>Hi All
>I have a problem that is happening in a random manner in two different sites.
>The problem in both sites started to happen when they installed Win2K server and added some workstations to the system. Both sites now run with 15-20 workstations.
>The programs in question just use the old APPEND BLANK then REPLACE to save data. The problem is that sometimes the program gets "File Access Denied" errors when trying to open some tables ( even for reading! ), and in some cases, some data is lost inconsistently in some tables.
>When checking open files in the server, i see all tables opened, even if the workstation already closed the program...I even checked doing DOS copy command on a bunch of tables from the server, and i see that even when closing the DOS window, some tables remain opened in the server.
>All the hardware experts in both sites claim ( of course ) the problem is in the software, but the only difference i see is they have more traffic with more workstations.
>In other sites, i have also some FOXPRO25 applications that run with a heavy activity from 50 workstations simultaneously, without any glitch whatsoever ( although those run on Novell Servers ).
>I think there is either some problem with the definition of the Win2K server, or some hardware problem ( Switch or some NIC ), but i am starting to think i should change the way my VFP app opens or saves the tables...
>Any ideas?
