My question may not be that clear. In our app, for example has menu options as follows:

File  Edit >Demand  Deployment
           >Supplemental Options >Option 1
                                 >Option 2 (currently highlighted by the mouse pointer)

I want to programmatically cancel the menu so that my program execution returns to the READ EVENTS wait state. To do this manually, I can press Esc thrice (3x).

I'm not sure what this does.
