Try setting EXACT ON and NEAR OFF just before the search and see what happens. Also, AFTER THAT, leave the exact and near settings and try a locate instead of a seek, do you get the same result? Can you post your form with the textbox on it and the table creation code for testing purposes only? It may help if someone can duplicate it...
