Hi Sergey,

I have made a new thread#833709 "Report prints out differently if run under diff OS" which got little attention so I decided to 'insert' it into this related thread.

I have just deployed an application which runs on Windows 9x/ME machines. The reports work just fine until the client decided on upgrading the machines with Windows XP, which resulted in some fields (particularly those in the footer section) not printing in the same positions. Some of the reports which are meant for an 14" x 11" fanfold have resulted in truncated or missing columns on the righmost side. The printer being used is an Epson FX-1170.

I have noticed that the paper sizes found in the XP print dialog contain fewer paper size choices. I also did create a custom form but the last column still is truncated.

My questions:

- Is this by design? Do FRXs created in Win9x/ME really run differently if
run in XP?
- If so, does this mean I will have to adjust ALL my reports everytime a
client decides to move up to Windows XP?

HELP PLEASE =(

Dennis

>>hi all,

>>firstly, i am working with vfp6 and it's report designer in windows 2000 server and windows xp home edition.
>>
>>my problem is that i have to print a report on a pre-printed and continuous stationery having width of 10 inches and height of 6 inches and onto a 80 column 9-pin dot-matrix printer (WIPRO LX540).

>>how do i overcome this drawback ?
>>
>>secondly, as per the above specified printer's specifications, to set the page length i could try the following ESCape sequence, namely, ESC C NUL n (where n is the number of inches of the page height). How do i code the above ESCape sequence within vfp6 code ?

>>sincere thanks.
