>Another quick point - I just pulled out my copy of the Special Edition Code -Focus on Fox 8 - and I see Rod is editor in chief. Rod spoke at every major show last year. Rod spoke at a number of user groups last year. Rod facilitates Fox articles getting published in a magazine with a world-wide circulation of approx 30K. And of course, he is a contributor online to the extent that he makes available and actively maintains one of the recognized communities for Fox.

Nobody was made a VFP MVP for speaking at a few events only, it takes more than that. Rod did not meet the bar to become a VFP MVP based on Microsoft's MVP award criteria compared to other nominated candidates. Rod did not work with Microsoft on the CoDe Focus issue of VFP 8.0, that was David Stevenson. Rod has mostly be working with VS .NET in the past year, not much with VFP. I would like to see Rod become an MVP for .NET sometime in the future if he meets the bar for the teams that give out the MVP awards in those catagories.
