I don't think it is that important in itself. It is valued because it recognizes the contributions to the VFP community of the individual. It is well deserved by all who attained it. I don't think you will become taller or thinner or smarter except some of those things might occur along the road to it: participating in the forums and attending the conferences might help any developer get smarter! :o)
