When I was first named an MVP, I had hardly heard of the program. Now, it's a big deal at Microsoft. Some of the things that the program provides:
- A private forum that gives MVPs a more direct access to Microsoft personnel and product teams.
- A three day MVP Summit on the Microsoft campus. Last year speakers included Bill Gates, Steve Ballmer, Jim Allchin, Eric Rudder, and several other Microsoft Vice Presidents. There were also demos and discussions of upcoming software and technologies.
- A one year subscription to either MSDN Universal or TechNet.
There are a few other things.
Speaking English is not a requirement to be an MVP.
