Try using an fx1050 driver, it is a standard, set up the dotmatrix printer and the driver as fx1050 and this should solve some problems.

I have found that the dot matrix settings in xp are not great, presume that they are being phased out.

>>>Hi All,
>>>
>>>I have just deployed an application which runs on Windows 9x/ME machines. The reports work just fine until the client decided on upgrading the machines with Windows XP, which resulted in some fields (particularly those in the footer section) not printing in the same positions. Some of the reports which are meant for an 14" x 11" fanfold have resulted in truncated or missing columns on the righmost side. The printer being used is an Epson FX-1170.
>>>
>>>I have noticed that the paper sizes found in the XP print dialog contain fewer paper size choices.
>>>
>>>My questions:
>>>
>>>- Is this by design?
>>>- If so, does this mean I will have to adjust ALL my reports everytime a
