The first column which is just number code and as soon as the user select the number code, the description (memo field) will populate an edit box. How can I do this? TIA

You could have code in the Validate that refreshes a separate EditBox control. With a ComboBox (you should probably be using a DropDown List, Style=2 ComboBox) you'd only have the number code, ie, the item1 field in the list.
