We've been using Crystal Reports Version 7 for a long time now and we wanted to convert to version 8.5 but we're experiencing some problems on Windows XP SP1.

The data in our reports are Visual Foxpro Tables that we COPYed TO WITH FOX2X so that we could access tables natively through crystal's driver P2bxbse.dll. However, on Windows XP SP1 we're having a fatal error when running the report. The error occurs in Msvcrt.dll which is version 7.0.2600.1106 (XP SP1 version).

We tested the same report using ODBC connection it works fine but it's not a solution for us. Also test with XP WITHOUT SP1 the report works fine too (Msvcrt.dll version is 7.0.2600.0).

So this leads me to think that there is an incompatibility with P2bxbse.dll and Msvcrt.dll version 7.0.2600.1106.

Crystal hasn't fixed it yet but I wanted to let you know this problem and at the same time see if someone might have any idea for a workaround.
