Ken, is this some sort of quid pro quo between MS and a few MVP's? My understanding is that this is exactly what MS wanted to get away from and was but one reason why the program was going to get cancelled a few years back.
It seems to me that if you have people do this - they should be contractors -who do this for an agreed upon consideration.
Linking this work with the MVP program gives the appearance of a quid pro quo between the MVP's and MS - something that is not supposed to exist since the award is for peer to peer support and contributions to the community.
Yes - these are definitely contributions to the community - but nonetheless -they are intimately bound up with MS's intellectual property. This is not the same thing as authoring a whitepaper and/or KB article.
