Since more than 3 years we have an application running on a clients server. It is an exe-compiled application VFP7. Now the client reports that the application has stopped and when he tries to restart the program the program window comes up on the screen and in the task manager he can see the program name in the task list but with the status "Not responding". After a few seconds the program quits. He has rebooted the server but the problem remains. The server OS is Windows 2000. We have the same program running on our server with the same OS and with no problems. The program is sorting incoming files from external sources via modem to subdirectories and reading data from the files in the same go and sending the data to an external LAN-connected Oracle database. The program actions are fired by help of a timer in the application every 30 minutes. It has worked wonderful up till now. We have sent him a copy of the compiled program we have on our server but it did not help. Is there someone who has any idea about what to do? Thanks for your thoughts.
