I think you may use on key or on key label command for shortcut but in VFP , on key label command is not work as much as dos stone age. Most of application has a menu so in my case I like to use menu shortcut. You may know about how to define menu shortcut then you just add some code in procedure like below.

do form , do report... etc
or
_screen.activeform.objectname.property=value
