If you look at the G7, the US is alone on the heathcare front. Most wealthy nations have socalized, universal heathcare. For the most part it works. Looking at my pay stub, every month, my employeer makes my $30 contribution to medicare for me. They also pay for extended healthcare through Blue Cross which means I get massage visits, some drugs, dental, and a bunch of other things. Personally, I think it is obscene to profit from another person's misery.
