Hard question :) If you're releasing and calling another from a button than other form is called before the release actually took place. What does it matter I don't know but might in situations.
I never deal with autopen/autoclose of DE. Always leave them at their default .t. However I always use private datasessions. Doing that way I'm confident actions on a form's DE wouldn't have any effects on other's.
