Aha ... by any chance are you running the report from a form that has a grid on it? If so, you are running into the problem of the grid taking over and changing the control source so it can refresh itself. You need to take focus off the grid before running the report and that should take care of this problem.

>Different set of data< what i'm doing now is using an SQL statement to pull of TOP 30, if I select the cursor then preview I get what I expect, if I then print using the icon the compluter uses my original table not the cursor? I have no dataenviroment or autopen/close files in the report?
