The easiest way to get rid of things "hanging" off of _SCREEN is to issue a

CLEAR ALL

Of course, this should only be done from the Command Window or when "exiting" your app, since it "clears" everything else in the environment.

There is no easy way to "default" properties like "FontName", etc. unless you save them beforehand.
