I don't have links, but I remember that I was searching for this kind of things. We don't use Interbase, but Firebird, its open source fork. It is very solid and performance is very good.
Interbase is used in US Army M1 tanks - that's mission critical - because its reliability and very fast restart/recovery.

Better have red+blue shorts and use Interbase/Firebird + Foxpro. I've done this and I'm happy with it.

Sometimes speed is not the only thing that matter.
