All of my baseclasses have an overridden Error method of:
ObjError( this, nError, cMethod, nLine )

which allows me to trap a lot of these kinds of things. In development mode ObjError basically does:
activate window trace
activate window watch
suspend


You might want to USE TheForm.scx and BROWSE look in the Properties and Methods memos it may be easier to see the culprit than in the form designer.

I have looked to see if had inadvertently included or ommitted critical references such as incorrect naming uses - however so far the culprit has eluded me even while trying to track the initialisation process using trace - just have to soldier on till I find the solution.
