Ken,
What about those systems where you only need to install vfpoledb.dll ?
It says in the html file accompanying the SP1 release download that a 'memory leak' problem was addressed in this SP in regard of vfpoledb.dll, so I checked the file versions.
Version Previous to VFP8 SP1: 8.0.0.3006
After VFP8 SP1: 8.0.0.3117
So I assume there have been changes.
Consider this scenario: a system running a .net app, accessing vfp data by using the oledb driver installed from "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Visual FoxPro 8.0" package -version 8.0.0.3006 -.
If I want to run the VFP8 SP1 on that system , it won't let me go further after the initial screen because there are no vfp libraries installed.
So, question is, should I just copy the new vfpoledb.dll replacing the existing one at "c:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB\", then register the new dll using regsvr32 ?
Thanks in advance.
