It's ironic, the work that's been put into making .vfp. mtdlls work great has been done, but, I believe the marketing machine at Microsoft won't allow them to push anything else but .NET especially for web apps, multithreading, etc. They would rather you think you need something new so that you'll go out and buy VS.NET in addition to the latest version of .VFP....
